In the Historical Garden of Aalsmeer

The Tuinhuis is not only located on the water, so you can moor your boat, it is also located in the famous Historical Garden of Aalsmeer. This garden is a museum, where you can learn all about the plants and flowers in Aalsmeer. After visiting the museum, pop into the Tuinhuis for a cup of coffee and a fresh pastry, a delicious high tea or a tasty lunch. If the weather is nice, you can sit on the terrace by the water and if it is a little overcast, you can sit inside and soak up the relaxed atmosphere of the tearoom.

Organic and local

Owner Nicky van Es grew up in the area and her family worked in the restaurant industry. She calls the kitchen ‘the beating heart’ of the Tuinhuis. All the dishes, pastries and high teas are freshly prepared here every day with love. The key words in this kitchen are organic, local and homegrown. Most of the products come from the garden at the Tuinhuis or from local farmers or suppliers.
