Welcome home at Proef en Meer in Aalsmeer
This restaurant on the Stommeerweg was formerly known as ‘Welcome Home’ and was renamed Proef en Meer in 2017 And it wasn’t just the name that changed, the owners also chose a new tasting concept and gave the interior a fresh and modern look. The most striking feature is the warm petrol blue walls, which keep that homely feeling even after the renovation. The popular beef sate and sole dishes are also unchanged, just like the breathtaking view from the terrace.
Extensive tasting menu
The idea behind the Proef en Meer tasting concept in Aalsmeer is hearty dining, without the price tag. The tasting menu has a fixed price depending on the number of courses you choose. This extensive tasting menu contains small dishes such as sea bass with a traditional French dressing, sirloin rolls with truffle mayonnaise and rack of lamb with honey and thyme. And no small matter: you don’t pay extra for fries, salad and bread. Proef en Meer have also thought of children and created a special children’s menu.
