20 February 2020 t/m 26 February 2020
Do people only celebrate carnival in the south of the Netherlands? Nothing could be further from the truth! In the Aalsmeer village of Kudelstaart, between 20 February and 26 February 2020, carnival music will also ring out in the streets and revellers of all ages will dress up in the most beautiful carnival costumes. The highlight of the carnival is of course the carnival parade. This takes place on carnival Sunday: 23 February at 11:41. For the youth parade, be ready in your carnival outfit on Saturday 22 February at 13:11.
The draw for the Kudelstaart carnival parade takes place on the Thursday before the parade to determine the order of the carnival procession. On Friday evening and Saturday afternoon the children can dance around during the youth carnival. There is a big party on Saturday night during the Princes’ Ball, where Prince Carnival will receive the key. And if you are still looking for more party fun after the carnival weekend, the carnival is closed on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, following festival traditions. For the current Aalsmeer carnival programme, please check the Kudelstaart Carnival Society website.
